Plasma care® - cold plasma therapy

The plasma care®-product series inactivates bacteria including multi-resistant pathogens including multiresistant pathognes, viruses, fungi and spores. At the same time, it actives the healing process. More than 30.000 sucessful wound treatments have been already carried out with the mobile plasma care®

The plasma care® is a convenient and mobile medical device for wound treatment using cold atmospheric plasma. It is about the size and weight of a telephone handset and has a battery capacity sufficient for about 120 treatments. It can therefore be used by outpatient wound specialists as well as in clinical and practice settings.

To ensure sterile treatment and prevent cross-contamination, the plasma care® is used in combination with a sterile packed spacer.

The following rule applies: one spacer per patient and wound. The treatment area per wound surface is 13 cm². For larger wounds, the spacer can be used a maximum of 6 times within one treatment session (total area approximately 73 cm²). After that, the spacer is no longer usable and should be discarded.

When to use plasma care®?

All types of chronic wounds – the earlier the betterAcute wounds – to promote wound healingSurgical wounds – to prevent wound healing disordersAccess ports, such as CVC, IV lines, drains, urinary catheters (suprapubic)

Because of its physical action, cold plasma therapy can generally be applied to all types of wounds, i.e. it is effective regardless of the cause of the wound.

The hightech handheld

With the size and weight of a telephone handset, the plasma derma care® in conjunction with the spacer is a mobile, CE-certified medical device that generates cold atmospheric plasma from the ambient air. CAP inactivates bacteria and human pathogenic fungi highly efficiently – regardless of the type and level of resistance to antibiotics.

In addition, there is the healing effect: CAP therapy has an antipruritic effect and promotes cell regeneration (cell division) of healthy skin cells by activating local immune processes. The treatment is valued as painless.
